Hello everyone! ✞
Today, I'm back with a sponsored review. Yes, that's right, it is sponsored!! This is the very first time I have my very own sponsor, what's more, it is one that sells hand-made accessories. I literally went all crazy and happy when I received an e-mail from Taylor, creator/owner of The Better Sweater. I accepted the offer because I felt that it is a great opportunity for both of us to collaborate together to showcase her works as well as for me to give my most honest feedbacks about them. You guys might not know but I'm actually quite a die-hard fan of handmade accessories because to me, they are pieces of artwork and hardwork produced by the designers, not forgetting the fact that their designs are always one of its kind.

My package came to my doorsteps, wrapped and concealed tightly. Within was a heartfelt letter from Taylor herself as well as the accessories for me to review. It always feels special to receive packages no matter what the size is because everyone just loves unwrapping presents, don't we? Despite the fact that The Better Sweater is just a small shop on etsy, I must admit I was really in awe of the quality when I opened up to see the items inside.

Here's the first item - Blue Jewel Scallop Heart Brooch ✞
It is made of resin, a material you should be familiar of if you shop regularly online in storenvy/etsy. The size is just perfect for you to pin it anywhere you want - bags, collar, etc. I personally prefer such cutesy brooches to be pinned on my clothes to make them stand out more. Also, the reason why most people love to use resin is probably because of its long lasting effects. I have personally get in contact with resin before and I would say that it is quite an easy task but one should handle it with precaution as well since it is flammable.

If you do take a closer look, there is actually some extremely tiny blue beads being placed inside. How cute! ♥♥ One thing I really love about this brooch is that it has a really smooth surface. Nobody would wish to put anything rough on their clothes or bags to cause a scratch, isn't it? That was another thumbs up!
You can get the pink one here: Pink heart brooch

Pastel Moon and Bow Necklace (Pink and White) ✞
This piece of necklace is also made of resin and gives a smooth touch. The highlights of this necklace have to be both the glittery part of the moon as well as the detailed work of the bow. I've yet to wear this out and yes, indeed I'm really excited to do so right now! You can get a similar piece here: Pastel Moon and Bow Necklace

Vanilla cream cupcake brooch ✞
Guess what? I'm sad to say this but this item is not on sale because it is made and personalized just for me. How sweet!! If you scroll back to the top, you could actually take a look at its details. It is made of polymer clay and the swirls of the cream on top of the cupcake are done perfectly in the most genuine way.

Here are some other works I really adore by The Better Sweater ✞

The Better Sweater is a shop that sells handmade accessories inspired by video games, films, television, and everything that is cute. Should you have any custom orders you would like to make, I'm absolutely sure that she welcomes taking custom requests. One of her customization would be the heart word necklace where you can request a specific phrase you desire and have them in the necklaces. How cool does that sound? But do be reminded that there is a limit to how many words she can fit in each necklace and the longest word would be at most seven characters only. Just drop her a message if you have any doubts you would like to clear and this cutie would be more than willing to help you out!! ♥︎

I don't think that my pictures give enough justice to the accessories so the best way to see the results would have to be by getting them yourself online! I hope that my review has been helpful and should you be interested to collaborate with me for a review, do feel free to drop me an e-mail as mentioned on the left sidebars.

Hello everyone! ✞
How did your Lunar New Year celebration go? Did all of you manage to collect lots of red packets? Well, putting the hongbao matter aside, let's not forget that the festive season's main aim is about the quality time we spend together with our dearest family and relatives.

Today, I'm back here again after a good celebration to share with you an original Japanese brand by the talented Harajuku model & Japanese Kawaii Ambassdor, Kimura U. KOKOkim by木村優 was launched last year in collaboration with GLAD NEWS and the concept behind is "Moeru Harajuku" (MoeHara in short), which blends design elements from both Harajuku and Akihabara. Doesn't it sound super cute to you? I've been eyeing her clothes ever since they were featured in the facebook page of "Kawaii International" but the ones that caught my eyes were mostly sold out almost quickly at Rakuten.

Kawaii International, also known as Kawaii.i in short, brings you the latest Tokyo's fashions and japanese anime/manga trends from Japan. It is also broadcasted on NHK World and one of the most memorable episodes for myself will be the one where various kawaii ambassdors from different countries gathered together in Japan - they share their love for Japan and its fashion, learn & experience new, different things, etc.

Enough of all these boring text, let's hop on to the pictures for the KOKOkim Spring/Summer Collection 2014!
These are just some of my favourites ♥

My favourite style/design has to be "Candy Millefeuille", the print that has horizontal pastel striped colours marked with the brand name. This Spring/Summer collection is on a pre-order basis and the items will be released in the month of mid-April or Early May. Some of the items are already sold out, so hurry and pre-order your KOKOkim items now! I would say that the prices are kinda steep so after much thought, I only pre-ordered the Candy Millefeuille stockings in pink. I really can't wait for mine to arrive (if things go right, I'll do up a mini-review as well). For more information, you can always click on these helpful links below.
