Hello everyone!! ❤

This summer has been endless and prominent with lots of tropical prints everywhere! Needless to say, I join in the game with this refreshing, sunny outfit that I would say that I have never exactly tried out before - A mustard top with a pair of comfy tropical prints culottes! This would probably be my second time rocking a mustard coloured top and my first for tropical prints! There is always a first for everything, isn't it?

Summer always seems continuous in Singapore since we are gifted with bright, sunny days almost the entire year. While we are unable to enjoy winter fashion like certain countries, I am still quite thankful that we can go "light" on our outfit choices. This year, the tropical vibes seem strong for Singapore's summer fashion as tropical leaves have been used as visual props for instagram shots to a great extent are as well as an increase in people rocking tropical prints in their coordinates.

This time, I decided to bring a little tropical flavour to my summer outfit by incorporating the trendy mustard colour together with tropical prints and I must say that they compliment each other pretty well!

The little frills details in between the collarbone and bust area make the mustard coloured top less boring and more charming than usual. Its square neckline also enables my collarbone to be more prominent, making myself appear longer and leaner. An advantage of a square neckline top is it being suitable for all body types and especially excellent at elongating short neck and narrow shoulders. Furthermore, the top is made of cotton material, which makes it super light and comfortable for summer. To add the finishing touches, I pair the top with a simple piece of necklace so that it would not grab its spotlight away.

Next, let's talk about the tropical print culottes!

Needless to say, the culottes are made of chiffon material, a lightweight fabric, which provides a floating or airy appearance when worn. Additionally, the material also enables the skin to feel more comfortable and "easier to breathe", such that my legs totally did not sweat despite the crazy weather.

A ring belt also comes together with the pair of culottes of the exact prints. While it helps to make the culottes look less sloppy when worn, I must say that the ring belt does give quite a bit of issues from time to time as the fabric slips off occasionally as the ring is unable to hold the chiffon fabric over time. Other than this minor flaw, everything else works fine!

Elastic waist band check! Side Pockets check! Chiffon material check! Everything great!

What attracted me the most during the purchase was definitely the tropical prints - its greenery shades, as well as big but modest tropical flowers and leaves, which reminds me of Hawaii instantly. Since I am quite a fan of Terrace House, a Japanese reality television show franchise, the tropical prints reminded me immediately of their franchise set in Hawaii - Terrace House: Aloha State. I can't wait for Season 4 to be released on September 24 next week!
Is any of you catching this show as well? ❤

To ensure it is truly Summer, a piece of tropical prints clothing is definitely needed in your wardrobe right now if your country is still experiencing the summer season!

If you were me, how would you style the pair of tropics printed culottes or mustard top next time?

I am leaning towards wearing my mustard top with a pair of baggy denim pants or even denim jumpers/overalls next time! While my culottes will definitely flow well with a piece of light chiffon outerwear (preferably in white or cream colours) and plain top (typically my kind of T-shirt or even a simple camisole)!

I definitely had fun rocking this Summer outfit and would keep my options open for more tropical prints!!

For your information, this is my first time purchasing from ShopLoooh, a Malaysian online shopping platform and my experience has been the best. My clothes managed to reach me in less than a week despite having a public holiday in between. Furthermore, their new arrivals are always created with fun and creative lookbooks for everyone to source their ideas from. No doubt if their new collection attracts me, I will definitely not hesitate to purchase from them again! ❤❤

Hello everyone!! ❤

Don't we all have times when we wish to dress up comfortably for the weekends yet stay chic at the same time? I felt slightly lazier than usual this time and decided to sport an outfit that was as comfortable as wearing my pajamas at home but yet chic enough to shop around the city area. Let's go to find out more about my perfect lazy weekend outfit!

The outfit's coordinate point goes to the chiffon peignoir, which helps to apply a suitable amount of layering effect on the overall outfit.

The frilly piece of chiffon peignoir or cardigan adds some extra points to the overall look of ensuring that I do not look too lazy. I also came up with the idea of pairing off the simple tee and baggy pants with this additional layer since it was pretty chilly that day; similarly, I did not want the clothing's material to be too thick when I am indoors (most of the day). After the shots were taken, a heavy downpour began thereafter but luckily it was a narrow escape for both my boyfriend and I. Lucky us!

If you find the frilly peignoir to be overwhelming, you can opt for a piece of long cardigan, which I am certain that it will look great as well. A longer piece of outerwear will help to elongate your body structure and make you look taller due to its length!

My love for baggy pants has not stopped since July or even backdated to May when I went to Japan this year. The only reason that I have mentioned repetitively is definitely the comfort brought by these pants to ensure sufficient space or "air" for my legs to "breathe". However, when you visit the washroom, they will tend to reach the floor due to its length - That is the only flaw of wearing a pair of baggy pants.

Putting the comfort aspect of the pants aside, let's talk about its design details that attracted me. I became greedier for another pair of baggy pants with a different material and design since I have one in denim material. There is never too many clothes in the wardrobe after all!

The pants, though observed as white in the picture, is in fact in pale yellow (coconut cream) colour. This beautiful base colour is accompanied by small adorable flowers in shades of pink and blue lilac, which give off a sweet and feminine vibe.

The additional points for this pair of pants is definitely the extra layer being sewn within the 100% polyester base material. It surely makes me feel more secure as compared to certain clothing that may be made of a more sheer material, which in turn makes me feel exposed and uncomfortable. Lastly, to ensure the colour schemes of the overall outfit is aligned, I also chose my favourite tee with baby pink wordings to complete the look.

My perfect weekend outfit comprises of: comfort, chic and cheerful.

Personally, I adore sporting outfits that are comfortable and chic at the same time. I definitely would not want to feel unpleasant the whole day if my clothes are too tight or vice versa. Being chic does not necessarily mean that my clothes are or have to be branded but it is more towards if the outfit fits the theme or feeling that I am going for that particular day. Lastly, "cheerful" touches more on the colours that I prefer to deck in, which you can tell from my instagram feed that I am usually dressed in pastel or bright tones due to my heart leaning more towards them. Generally, I love all kinds of colours and I am more than willing to try out clothing of different colours though I tend to be slightly biased at times!

However, every individual has varied perspectives towards their own form of being comfortable, chic and cheerful. All that matters is that you have fun dressing up and being yourself! ❤

Hello everyone!! ❤
I visited the Singapore Philatelic Museum for the very first time for "A Little Magic Exhibition" last week for my little dose of stamps with fairy tales and magic! I must say that I do not visit museums on a regular basis and only do so if the showcased themes attract me.

"A Little Magic Exhibition" is actually targeted more towards children aged 4 years and above but nevertheless, it was interesting to see the illustrations of various fairy tales by different artists. I was just slightly disappointed that the exhibit was showcased in the open space instead of having its "room" like the other exhibits. Still, I thought that since the exhibit was meant for children aged 4 years old and above, the museum might have thought of the idea of letting them have ample of space to sit around since there was a mini stage to welcome guests for the opening ceremony.

If you are interested in visiting Singapore Philatelic Museum for its unique exhibits and wide collection of stamps, you can check out the details below. "A Little Magic Exhibition" is currently still running till the end of October.

Website: http://spm.org.sg/
Duration: 27 May 2017 - 29 Oct 2017
Opening hours: 10:00am - 7:00pm
Entrance fees: Adults - $8.00; Child - $6.00;
Free admission for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents!

My favourite fairy tale series is definitely Rapunzel much thanks to Disney's Tangled, showing us the magical side of Rapunzel breaking out of her comfort zones into the real world and being daring to live her dreams! What is your favourite fairy tale series? ❤

Outfit Point: Lace Bustier!
The coordinate point is definitely the lace bustier, which was initially paired together with another white cotton top.

This type of lace bustier is definitely eye-catching and suitable for the warm summer! ❤

The lace bustier actually flares out quite a bit at the bottom. As such, it was tucked in, in order to enable better coordination with the pink A-line ¼ pleated skirt, which was also flared at the same time since I did not wish to give off a layered dress kind of vibe.

Talking about the details of the bustier top, I simply adore the idea of matching lace with flower patterns as it gives off a refreshing feel. The lace design matched with numerous flowers patterns, along with its great fitting, instantly also allows one to look more refined and gentle. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the lace, despite numerous washes without being placed in a washing net. However, to preserve its lace, I am definitely going to start doing so!

Lastly, the lace bustier also makes the top and bottom's lilac and pink colours respectively stand out even more. Even if the bustier is paired together with a pair of skinnies or baggy jeans, it will still be the highlight of the overall coordinate.

Personally, I am a person who adores bustier to be worn as an outer piece;
Coordinating it with a pair of skirt or denim jeans along with a plain hugging top in a pastel shade for both comfort and style.

In addition, for ladies who love laces but are afraid of sporting them in their outfits, a lace bustier is definitely the most appropriate. When you pair it together with a top in a softer shade, the overall look will definitely make you look feminine and cute at the same time!
