Outfit for Summer: Lace Bustier Top

by - Wednesday, September 06, 2017

Hello everyone!!
I visited the Singapore Philatelic Museum for the very first time for "A Little Magic Exhibition" last week for my little dose of stamps with fairy tales and magic! I must say that I do not visit museums on a regular basis and only do so if the showcased themes attract me.

"A Little Magic Exhibition" is actually targeted more towards children aged 4 years and above but nevertheless, it was interesting to see the illustrations of various fairy tales by different artists. I was just slightly disappointed that the exhibit was showcased in the open space instead of having its "room" like the other exhibits. Still, I thought that since the exhibit was meant for children aged 4 years old and above, the museum might have thought of the idea of letting them have ample of space to sit around since there was a mini stage to welcome guests for the opening ceremony.

If you are interested in visiting Singapore Philatelic Museum for its unique exhibits and wide collection of stamps, you can check out the details below. "A Little Magic Exhibition" is currently still running till the end of October.

My favourite fairy tale series is definitely Rapunzel much thanks to Disney's Tangled, showing us the magical side of Rapunzel breaking out of her comfort zones into the real world and being daring to live her dreams! What is your favourite fairy tale series?

Outfit Point: Lace Bustier!
The coordinate point is definitely the lace bustier, which was initially paired together with another white cotton top.

This type of lace bustier is definitely eye-catching and suitable for the warm summer! ❤

The lace bustier actually flares out quite a bit at the bottom. As such, it was tucked in, in order to enable better coordination with the pink A-line ¼ pleated skirt, which was also flared at the same time since I did not wish to give off a layered dress kind of vibe.

Talking about the details of the bustier top, I simply adore the idea of matching lace with flower patterns as it gives off a refreshing feel. The lace design matched with numerous flowers patterns, along with its great fitting, instantly also allows one to look more refined and gentle. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the lace, despite numerous washes without being placed in a washing net. However, to preserve its lace, I am definitely going to start doing so!

Lastly, the lace bustier also makes the top and bottom's lilac and pink colours respectively stand out even more. Even if the bustier is paired together with a pair of skinnies or baggy jeans, it will still be the highlight of the overall coordinate.

Personally, I am a person who adores bustier to be worn as an outer piece;
Coordinating it with a pair of skirt or denim jeans along with a plain hugging top in a pastel shade for both comfort and style.

In addition, for ladies who love laces but are afraid of sporting them in their outfits, a lace bustier is definitely the most appropriate. When you pair it together with a top in a softer shade, the overall look will definitely make you look feminine and cute at the same time!
